Fighting resistance: Maple syrup might provide solutions

Researchers have found a natural way to increase the potency of antibiotics – maple syrup extract. The team found common antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and carbenicillin are greatly enhanced in their antimicrobial effect by the phenolic extract, to the extent that the same effect was achieved by 90% less antibiotic.

Biofuels are not as green, claim scientists from UMich
